My connection to art began at a young age, where I was always drawn to capturing the natural world on paper. Although I was encouraged to pursue a more secure path, my passion for animals led me to complete a degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare and begin my career working as a zookeeper.
During this time, I was fortunate enough to work closely with a wide range of species—from lions, tigers and bears to lemurs, with African painted dogs and tapirs holding a particular place in my heart. This hands-on experience gave me a deep understanding of animal movement, behaviour, and character—something that continues to influence every piece I create.
A move to Scotland marked a new chapter, where I transitioned into dog care and training, while also becoming involved in falconry through my husband’s work. Now, with my husband working full-time as a gamekeeper and deer stalker, we live immersed in the countryside, surrounded by working dogs and the wildlife that inspires my art daily.
In 2022, I returned to my first passion—painting—bringing together years of experience with animals and a love for traditional country life. My work aims to reflect not only the beauty of wildlife, but also the heritage and authenticity of the countryside, at a time when many feel increasingly disconnected from it.
Each painting is created with a focus on detail, movement, and quiet realism—capturing fleeting moments that might otherwise go unnoticed.
